Set around the lifespan of Ter, a minute human shaped Om slave, and pet, of the giant blue alien Draags. Escaping into the wilderness and with a devise used for intellectual advancement of the Draags, Ter finds refuge and support from fellow Om"s and using the learning tool. Winner of the special jury award at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival.

Director : Rene LALOUX

Born in 1929, he went to art school to study painting. He made Dead Time(1964), The Snails (1965) and his most famous work, Fantastic Planet(1973) with Roland Topor. He also worked with Jean Giraud (Mœbius) to create the lesser known film, Time Masters(1981). Gandahar(1988), was released in the US as Light Years.
